:: Shanghai :: 1933

Hi my friends,

I finally got over the excitement of twinkle’s shop trial opening. Thank you all so much for your valuable advice and suggestions and orders of course!

Today, I want to share with you another interesting place in Shanghai. An old abbatoir (slaughterhouse) turned into a hip place for shopping and dining.

Read more here and here.

1933 Shanghai

Blend of the old and new. Old shikumen table with a yellow mini cooper. How cool is that?

One of the many interesting shops at 1933. A bag shop.

Feels like a travel back in time. Old factory turned commercial building.

Maybe it’s just me, but I feel a little eerie and cold in the building. Did you ever feel that way?
